A tale as old as time…

Storytelling is one of the oldest means of communication, dating back thousands of years. From hieroglyphics and painting, to Johann Gutenberg’s invention of the printing press, to the invention of still photography, to motion pictures to the internet… From the bible to the fairy tale, to the modern day advertising campaign, storytelling is an artform that remains one of the most important, impactful means of communication. Creating a compelling narrative communicates your brand’s meaning, purpose and history.

All great stories have an Adventure.
What’s yours? What exciting products, projects, or purpose is your brand involved with? Are you on a mission to make the world a better place? Do you have a product that will make people’s lives easier? How did your adventure begin? Are you at the top of the mountain, or are you at base camp, just starting out?

All great stories face obstacles
No business is without one. Are you willing to share what you did in order to overcome your own? Are you willing to share the lessons you learned along the way, the good and the bad? Stories shared with transparency make you more relatable and approachable. What tips can you share?

All great stories have heroes and heroines
From the adventure and obstacles you’ve overcome you have become the hero (heroine) in your story. What makes your business, skillset or product stand out from the rest? (It didn’t happen overnight!)

All great stories have a good plot
Storytelling is more than a means of entertainment; it’s a great means to educate and inform. A great story can influence how others feel about your business or product in a positive manner, evoking emotions from laughter to tears, to compassion and empathy.

And they lived happily ever after…

All great stories have a conclusion.
The story as an artform is also a masterful tool for your marketing/PR/advertising needs. This applies to every brand, product and industry.
